Pottery Wheel
Sign up for our popular Try-It-Once Pottery Wheel class and let one of our awesome instructors teach you how to make a bowl using wet clay on a spinning pottery wheel. And as a bonus, you also get to paint your bowl using our specialty underglazes!
Check out our schedule of classes and book your seats online. Price is $50 per person (+tax). Bowls are usually ready for pickup 2-3 weeks after they’re made.
Pottery Painting
Choose a ceramic piece from our awesome selection. We always stock hundreds of items, both functional and fun. You’ll paint and personalize your pottery using the provided glazes and supplies, and we'll fire your creation in our kilns. Finished pottery is usually ready to pick up about 10 days after!
Items start around $20 (+tax). A $6 studio fee is also added to each project.
Splatter Space
Splattering is in our name, so we created an enclosed space inside the studio where you can splatter a 16” x 20” canvas using special splattering tools, brushes, and a great selection of acrylic paints.
We provide everything for you to enjoy a modern art experience, including a poncho and shoe coverings.

Mosaics
This is a great make-and-take project. Choose a wood base from our wide variety of shapes and sizes, then pick the tiles, glass, and gems (mosaics!) that you like. We’ll show you how to cut them down and glue them with the provided tools.
Take your board home and add grout to bring it all together (grout kit and instructions included). Items start at $25 (+tax). A $6 studio fee is also added to each project.

About the Studios
It all began with an idea: create an art and pottery studio in an open and inviting space in West Dearborn that was unlike anything that existed. A space that friends and neighbors, kids and adults, and community members from all walks could visit to flex their creative muscle and make lasting memories. We first opened in 2019, and now, 5 years and one pandemic later, we’re still here and stronger than ever, all thanks to our wonderful customers and employees.
Our Dearborn location is divided into Speckles+Splatter Art Studio, where you can complete all kinds of projects such as ceramic painting, splatter space, canvas, mosaic, and more, and Wheelscape Pottery, which is our wet clay studio where you can join one of our many pottery wheel classes and get your hands in the clay. And we’re excited to announce the opening of a second location of Wheelscape Pottery in Downtown Northville!
